NCAA Degree Completion

Are you a former TCU student-athlete who didn’t complete his/her degree and were thinking about returning to TCU and graduating?
There may be some assistance from TCU and the NCAA to help you reach that goal.

TCU is one of the top universities that has taken advantage of the NCAA Degree Completion Award during the past 30 years.
In 2009, six former TCU athletes were accepted in the program and will be one step closer to receiving their degree.
The NCAA established the Degree Completion Award program to assist student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility for institutional financial aid (in five years).
There are just a few qualifications to receive this award. Why not give it a try.

Qualifications include:

  • Applicant must be a student-athlete who has completed eligibility at an NCAA Division I member institution.
  • Applicant must be within 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of completion of his/her first undergraduate degree. Students enrolled in programs that extend beyond the baccalaureate degree or enrolled in graduate programs are not eligible (e.g., PharmD).
  • Applicant must have enrolled originally in or before September 2004.
  • Applicant must have received athletics-related financial aid [See NCAA Bylaw 15.02.4].
